Curriculum and Calendar

The curriculum is CAPS compliant

• All Grades learn reading and writing in English and Afrikaans, colouring in, drawing and life skills.
• Numeracy, arithmetic and mathematics are strengthened via the compulsory abacus math classes for grades 1 to 6.
• Robotics is a compulsory subject for grades 7 upwards.
• Grades 5 upwards learn science, debating and public speaking.
• Sport is compulsory and is held on our playing field, or on hard court for netball.
• Many of our learners attend year-round swimming lessons in a nearby pool that is heated in winter and we participate in inter-school galas.
• Fridays from 12h00 to 13h30 are dedicated to quizzes, gymnastics, drama, singing, chess and ball games.
• In our view “Good enough” is not good enough. If you aim for perfection you can expect to achieve at least excellence. If you aim for mediocrity, you will never rise above it.
